Ratchet Comparison

Here's my crowntail Ratchet, named after the Transformers G1 medic. He's aptly named since they both display a bad temper.

The picture on the left is of the first night I got him from Walmart. He was in a quarter gallon quarantine tank to treat his ammonia burns from poor care at Walmart.

The picture on the right is after just a few weeks of clean water and good care. In this picture he has 5 gallons (Half of the tank) to freely swim about as well as water heated to around 80*F and plenty of foliage to hide in and explore.

Currently he is still in the same tank, which is now divided twice to allow room for two other bettas, one of which is awaiting his new owner to get a tank set up for him.

Ratchet is quite a success story since I didn't think he would survive the night, but has turned into a beautiful, possibly halfmoon, crowntail with a horrible temper, but I love him just the same. He's still small, but has actually grown a little bit in the few weeks I've had him.
